Overview of Partnership Eligibility
To be a Partner Organization, districts must meet the following criteria:
- serving at least 37,500 students*
- at least 40% of students are eligible for free or reduced-price school lunch (FRSL)
- at least 40% of student enrollment comes from minority groups
- located in an urban area (based on NCES Common Core of Data http://nces.ed.gov/ccd/)
*The Broad Residency considers placement of Residents in districts as small as 19,500 students whose superintendent/CEO is a graduate of The Broad Superintendents Academy. These locations are not automatically prioritized over other locations.
To be a Partner Organization, CMOs must meet the following criteria:
- at least 40% of students are eligible for free or reduced-price school lunch (FRSL)
- at least 40% of student enrollment comes from minority groups
- located in an urban area (based on NCES Common Core of Data http://nces.ed.gov/ccd/)
- have at least three schools in operation in the year they join the program and have viable plans for further expansion
